I understand this is a long shot but might as well try. I would like to purchase a 13' camper that will sleep 3 4 people, something like a Scamp 13 or a Trillium Heritage with bunk beds.

I am currently in the process of selling my completely remodeled and mechanically sorted out 63K mile 1986 Toyota motorhome. If there's someone who has what I want and wants what I have we might be able to work out a trade.

Asking price: 25,000

Toyota motorhome has been sorted out mechanically and tastefully updated with all the modern conveniences. AC blows cold. Solid frame, no rust. Legendary 22RE 4 cylinder fuel injected engine. 4 speed auto transmission with overdrive. All appliances work hot water heater, stove/oven, shower, toilet, AC, gas heat, fridge, fans . 3 sets of keys, manuals for appliances, OEM Toyota Pickup manual.

6 lug rear axle for safety. No wood in the structure except for the floor means there s no rot.

Some of the work completed in the last two years and 3,000 miles includes:

Engine: NEW NGK spark plugs and wires, Bosch distributor cap and rotor, all radiator hoses, all drive belts, radiator, water pump, thermostat, engine air filter, PCV valve and grommet. New 12v battery and alternator. Throttle body cleaning and new gasket. Valve adjustment and new valve gasket. Head gasket replaced including new head bolts. New manifold gaskets installed. Rear main seal replaced for peace of mind wasn t leaking . Three oil and filter changes with full synthetic 10W 30 oil. Coolant flushed and changed twice. Power steering fluid replaced. Leakdown and compression tests performed and in spec.

Automatic Transmission: Transmission taken out to replace front and rear seals. Dipstick seal replaced. Transmission shift lever clad seals replaced. New wire loom tubing. New Toyota drain pan and cork seal. New filter and fluid. Shift linkage adjusted. Exhaust: New custom exhaust from the headers to the back. Exhaust re routed to exit under the rear bumper to prevent fumes under the living area and windows.

Tires: 6 new tires balanced and installed including all new valve stems. Will include a new matching tire for the spare. Currently an older tire is mounted on the spare. Holds air and plenty of tread but it s older.

Other mechanical work: Brake fluid changed twice front and rear, front calipers cleaned and greased, front rotors and pads are like new, rear differential fluid changed with full synthetic 75W 90, new windshield wipers.

Most of this work was preventative but something that I d want to be done prior to taking any 30 year old vehicle on the road.

Interior and exterior work highlights

180w solar panel mounted on the roof. New solar charge controller. New house battery. Will run the 12v fridge and all house 12v electric indefinitely.

New LED lights, USB charge panel, speakers

New 12v/110v fridge

Roof AC removed and replaced with a floor standing unit with remote control. Vented through the wall via an existing vent for the old gas fridge. Provides shorter RV height, lower center of gravity and less weight.

MaxxFan installed in the old AC ceiling spot. Reversible airflow and can be used in the rain.

Front/rear windows and roof resealed. RV is watertight.

Thetford toilet rebuilt with OEM parts. New floor seal.

New bath and kitchen fans

Water tank taken out and cleaned. Black/gray water tanks re strapped and level sensors cleaned and adjusted.

New kitchen faucet, water pump, black/gray water waste gates, bumper mounted dump hose carrier.

New 10 8 awning. All marker lights work.

New sofa futon mattress

Interior painted. Exterior graphics repainted. Most exterior screws replaced with stainless steel. Custom built center console and dinette table with storage.

New LVP floors and quarter round

Beware of Scams

Sorry, Art...

...but maybe I missed something? It seems that you already have a really nice rig.

This is a really nice rig for camping and we've had great times with it. The type of camping that we like though might be better with a tow-behind. For example, I surf so I can leave the camper at the site and take my 4x4 to drive on the beach to get to the spots I like. Or we can go on some off-road trails... You get the idea.

I have a link to a photo album for this Toyota with a lot more pictures so if anyone interested feel free to message me. The build out was also documented with pictures and receipts.

Hi I have a 2010 Scamp 5th wheel 19 foot sleeps 4-6 people in great condition with lots of upgrades. Located in Southeast Michigan. I decided to sell and am looking for something like yours. Let me know if you're interested. You'll need a truck with fifth wheel rails to pull it though

Sorry, just seeing your post! Unfortunately I don't have the right tow vehicle for that.

OK sounds good. If you ever get a 1/4 ton pick up truck, or larger if you want, you could install rails that will pull it. It's super lightweight and a beauty.
