Vintage Travel Trailer Community,
This is the nicest Hunter Compact Jr. Travel Trailer you can buy. No expense was spared in this remodel.
Details of the Professional Frame Off Restoration completed by Heacock Trailers in Glendale, CA.
Exterior:
Fiberglass Camper was taken off of the frame and a new frame was custom fabricated
Top and windows were removed and the trailer was painted and sealed
The new frame is stronger and longer to accommodate a West Marine Fiberglass Dock Box 900
Trailer was Lifted Several inches and has larger Aluminum wheels and new tires plus full spare
Suspension was upgrade to torsion axle and brakes were added
Has full length pop top with two porthole windows and two screened zipper windows
4 corner jacks
Removable tongue so it can t be stolen and to take up less space when parked fits in standard garage
Weighs approximately 1,100 lbs tow with a 4 cylinder, Subaru, rav4, CRV, Prius, etc.
Awning rails mounted on left and right side
Aluminum Solar Panel mounts on Pop Top and Pop Top reinforced with aluminum Frame on interior.
Interior:
Interior is like new and has a full length pop top that is 6 4 tall
Walls are Insulated and framed with birch wood panels
Custom sewn celling liner
Wired for Solar complete with battery that runs CD player w/ remote and 4 speakers, interior lights with dimmer, electronic stove igniter and water pump for sink.
Kitchen is Dometic SMEV two burner stove with sink 700 and electric water pump for sink. This is the same unit installed in Sprinter Camper Vans.
Nice Curtains and side windows that open and front window has original fiberglass rock guard

Removing the floor to ceiling bulkheads located between the kitchen/right side cabinetry and the dinette is asking for trouble. Hunter, Trails West, etc. fiberglass RVs require these bulkheads to support the roof. During towing operations the roof actually flexes. Over time the fiberglass will develop cracks and fail because it is not being supported. This is why the manufacturers include these bulkheads in their original design.
