1973 Hunter Compact II Camper. A rare find, especially in the Midwest.
Very good condition, and ready to go! Clear title. My wife and I owned this camper for approximately four years, and we used it to take our daughter to various state of Ohio campgrounds. We used it about three times per year, and whenever we did not use it, we kept it stored inside our garage. We simply outgrew the camper, so it's time to pass it on to someone else to enjoy.
The Hunter Compact II is a very unique camper. Whenever we go camping, people stop by and ask questions because it's so unique. The camper is extremely light and easy to tow the original advertising materials show the camper being towed by a VW beetle! From rear to front, the camper is approximately 13 feet in length. The camper has a pop up top that allows it to be stored inside a garage. It takes up about the space of an average car.
The inside has a bench seat and table top that converts to a bed. My wife, six year old daughter, and I slept comfortably on the bed. The interior also has a sink, propane stove, and toilet Laveo dry flush, which is included in the sale .
I performed the following renovations to the camper after we purchased it in 2018:
All new wheel hubs and "bearing buddies"
New propane gas hose
New seven pin hook up
New trailer clips
New window screens
New vinyl plank flooring
Replaced the original furnace with an air conditioner
Removed old toilet system and replaced with a Laveo dry flush toilet, which is included in the sale
Reupholstered cushions
Custom camper curtains
New and upgraded electric panel; added two new outlets
Installed a new 12volt wiring fuse panel
All new plumbing lines
New water pump
New water holding tank
LED exterior lights
LED interior lights
New water faucet
Installed map wallpaper made from vintage National Geographic maps
New 12volt converter converts 120v to 12 volts
The previous owner told me that the exterior was gel coated shortly prior to our purchase. The gel goat is in very good condition.
Because this camper is vintage, it's not in completely new condition. A few items that were on my to do list but I didn't get to include replacing the original screens on the fabric pop up and repainting the frame it has surface rust, but nothing significant .

Cute camper! We are in coastal Virginia and are interested in the Hunter Compact II camper. It looks like we’re about 9 hours from Dublin OH. Would it be possible to see it tomorrow afternoon. We could leave here early tomorrow, and be there 3-ish. What size hitch is on it? Thank you!
