project love bug
I have a 1976 lovebug that is in need of moving on. It was purchased to use right away after a brief cleanup. The floor looked great from underneath. On getting it home found the PO had attached an oversized awning that tore the fiberglass open to the weather and let water in for a long time . the inside was moldy behind the rat fur and the floors were rotting from the inside.
I have treated the walls and have been mold free for over a year and replaced the floors. I sanded and repaired the shell and gave a first coat of paint, struggling with removing all the silicon adhesive.
I have new rat fur and double faced bubble insulation to install. New plywood for the bed platform as well as plywood cut outs for the closet. new a/c or old coleman rooftop, apt fridge, new fantastic fan, new
My wife has since decided to go big and we bought a large motorhome, so we are selling a project, will have to be trailered, no lights and windows and fan are set in place.
the price is 1000. or sell the empty trailer and shell with none of the new equipment for 500
