PROJECT CAMPER
This is a SportCam molded fiberglass truck camper that was built in the late 90s. I inherited it from a cousin upon his passing. Most people would have probably sent this thing to the dump, but being a molded fiberglass owner of various brands of travel trailers, I would like to give someone the opportunity to restore it.
There is an article about SportCam campers at truckcampermagazine dot com
You can do an internet search and probably find the article since links are not allowed in ads.
When I say project camper, I mean a gut and rebuild. Windows would need to be removed, resealed and replaced also. Someone handy with fiberglass work could modify this to use traditional support legs. There would be areas that need reinforcing to support traditional support legs.
A three quarter ton truck would be the minimum to pack this thing around.
The winch motor and gear box is toast. The aluminum gears did not fare well.
It has a vertical seam instead of a horizontal one.
It has a Generac propane generator with 330 hours. I have not tried to start it.
It is located in southeast Louisiana near the intersections of I 12 and I 55. North of New Orleans and East of Baton Rouge. I can send more pictures.
My asking price is 2000. OBO. You load it and you take it. I will assist in loading with what resources I have.
The truck it is on is long gone. Don t even ask.
