I am seriously considering selling our highly modified 2005 Scamp 19. We are now both past 70 and climbing into the upper bed is getting a bit more difficult. Included in the sale is a custom hitch I fabricated that uses 75 less bed space than the Scamp Reece hitch. It was used in a Dakota and Frontier with a 33 inch bed height.
Here is what has been done to it
Front to back bed modification. The side fiberglass roof supports and bunkbed were removed and replaced with oak supports allowing for and RV queen bed to be used front to back. Sleeps tall people LOL
7 inch RV queen memory mattress 3 years old
Larger stainless sink was installed with a drainboard
12 Volt Converter replaced with an intelligent 50 amp
The standard toilet was pulled and replaced with a Natures Head composting toilet. My wife says this was the best mod we have ever done.
It came with a 3 inch rise and all the tires including the spare were replaced with 15 inch 3 years ago.
An electric motor was added to the front landing gear
Installed a 2 step folding entry step
Rear supports were replaced with scissor jacks
The 20 gallon tanks were replaced with a single 30 and a battery box for dual golf card batteries was added
Added to golf cart batteries
All lighting was upgraded to LED including bar lights under kitchen cabinets
New style tree roof supports were added in the kitchen
Table, cabinet and bathroom door were replaced with oak plywood
There is now a plastic drawer bureau under the bed where the bunks were.
Added rear hitch and large travel trunk
New efficient shower head
Outside shower installed
Mouse Hole replaced with RV type connector
Outside hatch added for right side under bench access
I probably forgot some!
