SOLD!

I bought this trailer a couple years ago with the intention to fix up and use but things didn't turn out that way. I had bought it long distance and the previous owner didn't really fully state it's condition. I don't intend to mislead anyone in selling this trailer. It's not great but it can be fixed up again with some effort. below is condensed from what I originally tried posting

The most I've done is clean up some trash/debris from inside it.

  • I feel frame needs replaced along with axle
  • plywood floor needs replaced
  • windows leak
  • door lock difficult to operate
  • door hinges not attached very well
  • interior has holes in need of patching
  • running lights work but all wiring needs replaced.
  • exterior could use a repainting
  • cushions are present. Including outdoor fabric for recovering
  • front opening icebox present
  • propane stove top included. Not used/tested by me
  • Hoses need replacing
  • Couldn't find a VIN, but including a new maker plate I had made for the frame
  • roof vent could use rebedding, no leak noticed

It's been awhile since I visited the trailer. It sits in a self storage place in Maryland, about an hour away from where I live. If you're interested in taking a look, it might take some time as wife is working while I watch the kids so weekend is most likely to show, or get additional pictures. While I'd like to get 2k for it, I'm open for offers.

Send me a PM for full write up I intended it was too many characters for what's allowed

I guess I can try posting the additional details I tried posting here... ~~~~~~~~~~~~ I bought this trailer a couple years ago with the intention to fix up and use but things didn't turn out that way. I had bought it long distance and the previous owner didn't really fully state it's condition. I don't intend to mislead anyone in selling this trailer. It's not great but it can be fixed up again with some effort. The most I've done is clean up some trash/debris from inside it. I've seen some people reinforce their frames during renovations but I feel this frame will need replaced, and along with it, the axle. I think they're original. On the bend that leads to the tongue, one side has been repaired with an extra plate. Welding on it doesn't look great but no idea how long ago it was done. I bought a new coupler and a small hitch that I intended to use on a replacement frame that will go with the trailer. The VIN isn't visible, at least I haven't seen one. I did get a new maker plate to use on a replacement frame. Plywood floor needs replaced. So along with the frame, the shell will have to come off. Part of the floor is broken through and there's been other soft spots and from under it, looks like someone tried using a caulk to seal it. If anything, I think it caused more issues by trapping water leading to the plywood failure. I've found the back and front windows leak. I think a silicone sealant might have been used by a previous owner. Something more appropriate to fiberglass would be better like 3M 4200, Life caulk, or Sikaflex 291. I am familiar with working on sailboats so I know a marine sealant should work better. There is a stove top. I think original. I didn't try testing it. I had removed the propane tank as it looked to need replaced. The sink is in decent shape and usable. The faucet was broken when I received the trailer and replacement is easy to find. The hoses under the sink need replaced. I removed them as they were old, cracked and unusable. The original water tank is present. The water supply connector on the shell under the sink was removed as that was in bad condition. There's an icebox type fridge. it's not powered. Looks like it's meant to be used with a block of ice to keep things cold. There's some holes on the interior fiberglass from screws that could either be used for something else or patched up. The cushions are present but I think they need replaced. I have bought a bolt of outdoor fabric to be used on the cushions that will be included. This trailer has a forward bunk with poles to support the upper bunk. For the most part, this trailer has been stripped down and ready to be built back up. The outside will need some work too. On the roof, there is a vent that does open. I haven't noticed any leaking but could be sealed up if replacing it with something else. Since buying the trailer, I've noticed there was some damage to one side of the shell that was fixed. I'm not too crazy about the fix but it's usable as it is. There's an area that has a hole in the fiberglass that needs patched up. By that fixed area, there is paint that is flaking off. I have a spare tire at the house that was taken apart. I stripped down the rim thinking it could be repainted or powder coated. I haven't touched the ones on the trailer itself. Along with removing the propane tank, there was also a box on the tongue for holding a battery. That was removed too as it was damaged and there is no battery for it. Door, another issue on these trailers, is in need of work. The lock/handle doesn't lock easily and I almost broke the key for it. The door is about to fall off as the screws are rusted badly and the backing boards may need replaced. There's an old fix visible on the shell side on both hinges that could use cleaned up. There's no brakes on the axle. All wiring needs replaced but the running lights when connected to tow vehicle should work fine. There is no cover for the trailer. There was one but it shredded after several months of use and since been disposed. It's been awhile since I visited the trailer. It sits in a self storage place in Maryland, about an hour away from where I live in Virginia. If you're interested in taking a look, it might take some time as wife is working while I watch the kids so weekend is most likely to show, or get additional pictures. While I'd like to get $2k for it, I'm open for offers. Everything written above is what I remember off the top of my head. Blog listed in my signature below with pictures/video where I had planned to document the repairs. Thanks for looking.

Best of luck with the sale. This looks like a good one to fix up!

Good project potential here for the right person. Be sure to state whether you have a title for it.
