1985 17' Widebody Burro

Features: Lightweight Construction double wall w/ fiberglass insulation. Approx. Weight 1500 pounds. Hitch weight 125 pounds. Interior Width 7 feet 3 inches. Interior Height 6 feet 3 inches. Easy to clean fiberglass interior. Rivet less exterior construction. Large tinted acrylic windows, are openable with built in screens. 2 Roof Vents, 1 powered w/ 3 speed reversible, thermostat controlled Fan Tastic 14 fan. Lots of storage areas, plus closet.

Three burner propane range. Under counter propane/electric Dometic refrigerator. Double bowl stainless steel sink. Stand by hand water pump at kitchen sink. 17 gallon fresh water tank. Propane/110vac 6 Gal Suburban Water Heater. Full size porcelain toilet by Sea/Land. Front dinette with removable table. Custom mattress 5" thick, 5' wide, 78" long very comfortable, generous sleeping area can be easily converted into a dinette

110vac 20A service cord, Propane tank, 20 lb , Manual tongue jack w/wheel, 3500 lb Torsion axle suspension w/ 3 inch riser for added ground clearance, Electric Brakes, Fire extinguisher, Spare tire with cover, Gravel shield front window, Rear mounted stabilizer jacks w/ front jack stands

Extras: Misc pots, pan and cookware, Water press regulator, 25' fresh water hose, Elect amp; Plumbing hookup components.

Easy towing: With a dry weight just under 1500 lb and 125 lb tongue, you can take this little camper on the road with almost any small SUV. Plus, it is light enough to move round your driveway by hand on the included jack wheel, and fits in a single standard parking space.

Interior: Unlike some other fiberglass campers, Burros have both an exterior and interior fiberglass shell, separated by a layer of aluminum backed insulation, making them stronger, better insulated, and less prone to condensation than many other fiberglass designs. The curved gelcoat interior reflects the light around and creates a very open, airy feeling, rather than the claustrophobic, stuffy feel that plagues many small campers. The fiberglass walls are easy to wipe down and clean after the weekend adventure.

Trailer has a flushable Sea Land marine toilet, though no official bathroom. The shower always leaked like a sieve so we just "bucket washed". New wood on interior components, nice solid core Oak plywood table, closet doors, and under seat storage covers. Custom curtains provide privacy. The skylight roof vent has been rebuilt with a 12vdc, 3 speed, reversible, thermostatic controlled 14 vent fan. Dometic fridge has no freezer compartment, and is propane/electric, Kitchen sink has added hand pump in case electric pump fails. LED lights have been installed to reduce electrical load during off grid camping.

Exterior: The Burro's cute retro styling turns heads and gets thumbs up wherever it goes. The door latch was rebuilt to be more secure than it was originally. Tires are good having been kept off the trailer and stored inside for the last 5 yrs. Bearings and axle are in great shape. Axle was upgraded to a 3500 axle and raised 3 to allow for greater ground clearance, has electric brakes. New caster wheel for tongue jack. Running lights all work and are LED, trailer electrical connector is a standard 7 connector plug.

Areas that need work:

Exterior gel coat has seen a lot of sun weathering and could use a paint job, suggest a marine type epoxy paint. Window and door seals are dry and stiff and need replaced. Windows do leak and the seal replacement would be a first thing to look after. We've investigated replacing the whole windows and have info on sources of supply.

This camper is a ton of fun, and we're sad to see it go, built for many more years of adventure, and we know whoever buys it will love it as much as we have!

Hi im Jim Gronk , I'm retired and on social security. I live in Spring Branch TX. Your Camper looks nice it would allow me to travel and visit family and explore the country. How are the tires and bearings and frame ? I can't have a big camper because I wouldn't be able to afford storage, But I have plenty of space in my yard. I like the fiberglass construction. I would like to speak with you about an offer. Thanks in advance Jim
