Hello! My husband and I have fallen hard for fiberglass travel trailers, especially the Escape 17B, but we'd be very interested in other TTs of similar size as long as they have a bath wetbath is fine! . We are mostly traveling just as a couple with our sheepdog, but we'd like to have the ability to sleep an additional person on occasion. Other than that we're really pretty open and just looking for a fair price. We are in the northeast, but willing to travel to pick up.

Thank you in advance!

Welcome, and best wishes in your search!

Quite a few Escapes sell on the Escape Owner's forum without being listed anywhere else, so it would be worth joining there as well (if you haven't already).

Also keep an eye on www.fiberglass-rv-4sale.com.

Hi Liz, Not sure what your time frame is but we will be selling our 17’ Casita Spirit Deluxe next March, we are in East TN so not too far from ya. Let me know if you would like more details, Dan

Hi, I have a 1999 16' Scamp, layout #6, bathroom with toilet and shower for sale in NC. Good condition for its age. Brand new wheels, 2 spare tires, refrigerator, stove, water heater, 12 gal. fresh water tank, AC, solar panel, battery, awning, screen door, dual 20 lb. propane tanks, sleeps 3 (or 4 if kids). Everything works. Photos available. $10,500.

I suggest you study floorplans closely. They are not interchangeable. I prefer a mid bath so I can have windows on both ends of the trailer. (Note on some models, the mid bath is height challenged, shorter than an end bath). Owned a Casita, nice trailer. But with the front bath, IMO, it was really dark inside. The Escape 17B is similar layout to the 19, but the beds are smaller. For those that can handle no bath, the 17A is quite nice, gets you more dinette space. Wish Escape listed bed and dinette size in their brochure, they used to.

The mid-bath layout of the Escape allows a few degrees of separation between the two seating/sleeping areas, nice if you have different sleeping patterns, or if the extra person is not a close family member. It also has a bit more galley space than the Casita. But I figure the OP is considering other options due to limited availability of the Escape. The Casita 17 typically runs heavier on tongue weight (400-450# vs. 325-375# for the Escape). Don’t know if that matters in view of the intended tow vehicle.

Bed size

The Escape 19 has a queen bed. Not an RV queen, a real queen. Plus a dinette that can be dropped to make a bed.

Thank you everyone for all your helpful insights! We are towing currently with a Toyota Tacoma access cab. We definitely need the bathroom but I appreciate the advice about layouts and light. Yes, definitely considering other models because we’d love to get our hands on our camper before middle of 2023!

Looking for a Casita with bathroom

New to the forum, so hope Im posting to the right place :). We are looking for a nice Casita with bathroom. May order one, but have no clue on what upgrades are needed. Any help would be greatly appreciated. We also would like to have a trailer before next summer. Wed be pulling with a Toyota Highlander. Thanks, Heidi

Escape 17A 2004

We love our camper, but haven't used it enough due to our changing circumstances. We just talked today about maybe trying to sell it. Let me know if you are still looking, we are outside of Washington DC in northern Virginia now.

Hi, sorry I meant 17B! Just doesn't have the bunks, I got confused.
