rick: what appliances do you need? How much roughing it do you want to do, boondocking, self-sufficiency, or are you a plug-in kind of camper? "K"

I assume what you have is a Jeep Liberty... with a tow rating of...?[/QUOTE] hi thanks for note....sorry...yes, looking for 13-17’ models....17' might be a bit too long, little concerned about towing something that long with my Liberty....they have a tow capacity of 5,000 (so they say) rather keep it to 3000...their narrow wheel base concerns me about the longer ones, but i may be wrong bathroom is not required...be nice but i have a plan for that if i can't find one with thanks again

"K"[/QUOTE] good questions would need a fridge and 2 burner stove....i mostly boondock, i think i have my electric figured out....been living in a 27ft c-class for 3 yrs, might just tear out my solar out of there
Lower end of budget will be a project for sure. Upper end may be as well. Fiberglass trailers enjoy a strong resale value so they tend to be higher priced than people think. I paid quite a bit for my Trillium 1300 last fall and no way was it ready for camping. I still have some work to do and it’s a year later. I use it regularly but some stuff is still not up and running. Older Scamps tend to be a little more affordable than Trilliums or Bolers. A couple of hours from Portland, you will need to get really lucky.
Hey there, I just posted my 15’ 2014 Trillium it is camping ready condition- actually almost like brand new- I have tons of photos and I do have a walk through video walkthrough I can send the link to you if you are interested. The trailer is about 2100-2300lbs depending on how much you pack in. It is a little above your budget but it is really a case of you get what you pay for. Look in the classifieds section for sale. I’m in Vancouver Wa.
For five years I pulled my Scamp 16' with my 2011 Jeep Liberty with no problem. Many times to Florida from Ohio in February. It had a 3500 lb. tow rating (5000 lb. with a weight distribution hitch).
